How to play Ludoteca

The goal of Ludoteca varies from level to level. Some puzzles require you to connect blocks of the same color, others prevent blocks of the same color from touching each other. You must so give each of these challenges top priority.

Use your mouse to pick up and place blocks on the game board in the middle of the screen. Right-clicking lets you rotate them; you can also rotate them while dragging.

Note that the game board often has restrictions so each block has a specific shape and must fit within the available grid, forcing you to optimize block placement to be effective as they will increase in difficulty.

Tips for Playing Ludoteca Like a Pro

1. Plan Ahead

Before placing a block, visualize how it fits into the level constraints. Consider where to place additional blocks in the future to avoid getting stuck.

2. Use Rotate Effectively

Right-clicking to rotate blocks is an important tool. Use it to maximize the use of space. Rotate while dragging to quickly test different orientations before final placement.

Identify key areas of the board where blocks must be placed first. Make sure important connections (to match levels) or gaps (to limit levels) are maintained from the start.

Each level introduces new mechanics. Pay close attention to the instructions before placing blocks. Try different strategies when facing new challenges.

5. Undo and Experiment

Some versions of Ludoteca allow undo moves—use this feature to experiment with different approaches. Don't be afraid to restart a level if your block-placement strategy isn't working.
