How To play 2048 Drop

Players must drop numbered tiles from the top into a heap instead of sliding the numbers around the grid as in the conventional 2048 game. Two tiles having the same number overlap combine to become one, multiplying their worth.

Every numbered tile shows at the top of the screen; you have to work out how to arrange them. Two same numbers combine into one to produce a higher number when they touch.

The tiles will rapidly fill up by stacking them this way, and game over will result should they reach the top of the screen. Thus, bear this in mind.

You can still merge to reach even greater figures even beyond 2048.

Advice to get perfect in 2048 Drop game

• Think ahead: The numbers will show first, so you have to act fast to arrange them to prevent board congestion.
• Create Merging Opportunities: Try to arrange your chips deliberately so they can combine several times in a succession.
• Keep the Board Low: Stacking chips too high too early can limit your future movement capacity.
• Use the edges wisely: Sometimes putting a high-value chip on the side helps regulate game flow.
